The cat is now gone. I scritched her for awhile, then held her while they injected her. She just looked at me as it hit her, and she was gone. I cried quite a bit, but it really was the right decision.

I'm so sorry for your loss! I am so glad that you were with her AA. You gave her the gift of releasing her from her suffering and letting her go while being held by someone she loves. FreedomFrog, don't feel bad for not being there - I just couldn't do it when my 19 year old cat was put down. My Dad was with him - and I truly believe that my cat understood why I couldn't be there.

You two made the right decision. I'll be thinking about you.

Sherry - Melissa Etheridge coming out there, still puffy from her chemo, bald-headed from her chemo, not trying to hide it, and then belting out a Janice Joplin song.... highlight of the whole evening and made me cry. What a brave woman.

I'm sorry I missed that! I love Melissa and was so sorry to hear about her cancer. She's a strong woman though and will hopefully come through this just fine.

Execution Dreams

since i faded, i have had several dreams where i am being executed.

in all sorts of ways - i've been crucified, shot by a firing squad, hung, and taken out via the gas chamber and lethal injection (no electric chair .

these dreams are so real - no clue that i am dreaming!

Can You Spot A Jehovah's Witness???

are you able to tell if someone is a jw just by looking or listening to a person?

what are the give away signs that make you just know that they're a witness?

I agree with a lot of what has already been said above. But then, there are times, when none of the above clues is present, and I just know. I can't explain it, I can just feel/sense it. One time I was with some friends getting gasoline - saw a car load of people on a Saturday morning. Even before I could see that they were dressed "up", I knew they were witnesses - just from their faces. Then as I got closer, I saw the dresses and suits, and then finally the literature. But I knew before any visible clues.
